As Alexis heads for her penthouse, she feels lightheaded and stumbles to the wall for support. Sonny reaches out to her, concerned, just as Carly comes out of his penthouse. She stares at them, misunderstanding.
Sonny: (to Carly) She's sick, I think. (to Alexis) Do you want me to call a doctor?
Alexis: No. I'm -- absolutely not. I'm just fine. I have a flu or something and I'm -- I'm perfectly fine, honestly, so --
Sonny: All right, well, if you need anything --
Alexis: I don't need anything. You know, Kristina's in there, she'll be happy to hover. Sorry to -- you guys have a great --
Sonny: Are you sure?
Alexis: Yes.
Sonny: All right.
Alexis: Thanks. (She rushes into her apartment.)
{ next scene }
Carly begs Sonny to forgive her; he never says the words, but carries her up to his bedroom, where they have sex. Meanwhile, Kristina is worried about Alexis' health, and takes her temperature. Alexis convinces Kristina that she's fine, and Kristina eventually leaves her alone.

Alexis is looking through her dayplanner, counting the dates furiously.
Alexis: All right, do it again. Ok, 28 -- 29, 30, 31, 37, 38, 39. Now, see, that can't be right. You miscalculated, Alexis. Do it again, do it again. Ok, 28, 29, 30,31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 -- 40. (she slowly circles the room, and ends up sitting on the stairs.) Oh, God. Oh, God. God, this can't be happening. Oh, my God.
