Sonny and Alexis 1. Who are Sonny and Alexis? What is Sexis? 'Sonny and Alexis' are Sonny Corinthos and Alexis Davis, aka the Mobster and the Lady Lawyer and TV Guide's 'classic steam team.' When this site was originally launched way back in October of 2001, the tagline the brilliant Pammus was using was "allies. friends. lovers?" They've come a long way since then. 'Sexis' is the nickname/acronym invented to refer to Sonny and Alexis as a couple. We here at jb.tv think it's pretty appropriate. (evil grin) 2. What's with the 'breathing?' Any die-hard Sexis fan will tell you that Sexis is "all about the breathing" and lack thereof. As in Sexis' and our own. We suppose it all started as a bit of a joke with Alexis' tendency to ramble on and on around Sonny and run out of breath. Him telling her to "Breathe" started off innocently enough, and has, like their relationship evolved into so much more. 3. What's with the gardenias? Ahhhhhhh… the gardenia. The 'unofficial' Sexis flower, dating back to Sonny and Alexis' winter 2001 trip to Puerto Rico. After Sonny convinced Alexis to let him take her out for the evening he "challenged" her to wear a gardenia blossom in her hair. She did, and the rest is Sexis history. See also: Valentine's Day, the real one, not the fantasy. 4. How did she come to live across the hall? The penthouse Alexis used to live in, Penthouse Two, was Jason's back in the day, and when Jason left, to keep Carly from moving in there, Sonny ended up leasing it to Alexis, who was at the time looking to finally move out of her suite at the Port Charles Hotel. She lived there until 2002. One could say Sonny "wooed" her with the view long before he started to woo her heart. 5. Does Alexis even have a kitchen? "I can't cook. I burn things." She has a microwave and a cappuccino machine. Who needs more than that? She definitely can work the microwave, though we hope she's learned a bit more since Baby Kristina's arrival, but the jury is still out on the coffee.
justbreathe.tv 6. So, this is a Sexis website? Technically, yes. We call ourselves "A Sonny and Alexis Web Site" because the content on the site is…well…Sonny and Alexis. We also have some highly trafficked discussion forums that have been referred to as a 'refugee camp' for battered fans. What you'll find here at jb.tv , especially on the forums is a haven for discussion about all things Sonny, Alexis, Sexis and General Hospital. We've also got some fun Off Topic forums and quite the collection of talented fan fiction writers. 7. So, you all hate everything but Sexis? Are you an anti-S&C site? I'm not a fan of Sexis. Am I still allowed here? Not at all. In fact, this is a blanket statement that we would categorically deny. Yes, this is primarily a Sexis site, but there are varying opinions inside that fan base alone. This site was not set up as an "anti"- anything site. It is pro-Sexis. That's the bottom line. Everyone's welcome to JB.tv, provided you abide by our code of conduct and respect everyone else. 8. Do you all hate Carly? Ned? Big Alice? Obviously, we cannot force anyone to like everyone, or anything, even the idea of Sonny and Alexis themselves, but we at jb.tv have prided ourselves on the fact that it's a safe haven to share opinions. Yes, there are people who don't like certain characters, storylines, even Sexis at times…but the purpose of this site and it's members is to "accentuate the positive". You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and rather than focus on the negative we have chosen to try and get the best story told that can be told. If you choose to post on the forums, you will run into people who do not care for Carly, Ned…whoever. But as stated in our TOS when registering to post on the forums - Character/Actor bashing simply will not be tolerated. Also, the bashing of certain other GH sites/message boards is not allowed. This includes talk about posters that frequent those sites. p.s. Leave Big Alice out of this…she's hella cool. (winks) 9. What is 'Operation: Sexis'? How can I be involved? Op:Sexis is our ongoing project to let tptb at ABC, Disney, the Soap Mags and GH how much we as fans are enjoying the Sexis storyline. If you want to be involved, be sure to check out the 'Operation: Sexis' forum on the message boards. There you'll be able to get up to date on our latest campaigns, find the addresses and contacts you need, and also some fabulous postcards ready for printing and mailing to tptb. We fully believe we are a fan base that is being heard, and every e-mail, snail mail, postcard and phone call counts. Come join the party! 10. Are you Maurice Benard? Nancy Lee Grahn? Michael Eisner? Can I send messages to Maurice Benard or Nancy Lee Grahn or Michael Eisner via the site? No, justbreathe.tv is the work of dedicated fans, and we are in no way connected with Maurice Bernard, Nancy Lee Grahn or ABC. Contact information for them is listed on the Op:Sexis page. 11. I am interested in helping out with the site. Is there anything I can do? Who should I contact? We are always looking for site support, and volunteering your time to do one of any number of things is always appreciated. We have amazing fan artists that give us pretty things to look at, and of course, we're always open to suggestions for Op:Sexis. Your best bet is to e-mail one of the moderators and let them know what you're interested in doing. 12. Where can I get Sexis/jb.tv merchandise? We are currently looking into new merchandise options, and will update you as soon as we can. 13. What's with the PayPal thing? Isn't this a free site? justbreathe.tv is a completely free site. It is here for the enjoyment of fans, and there is no charge to use any portion of the site. From time to time we as a group make a decision to send gifts, notes of thanks, etc to tptb, NLG and MB. Usually an announcement is made in one of the forums, and then users are invited to donate if they so desire. It is on a strictly voluntary basis. There is no obligation to participate. It should be noted that the generous contributions of our members have allowed us to send very nice Birthday gifts to both MB and NLG, as well as purchase this domain name (justbreathe.tv). 14. Ummm…two pair? Royal Flush? What's with the poker? Glad you asked! That's a fun little option on the board to give nicknames according to how many posts you have. p.s. Sonny cheats...you have to watch him. Or check his sleeves. <wink> 15. I have fan fic to post or archive. How do I do that? We have three separate fan ficton boards available to posters. Please be sure to refer to the "Fan Fiction FAQ," posted for your convenience on each fic board, for our rules and guidelines before you post your first story. Fic can also be archived by each individual author on the JB Fanfic Archive. For more information, please visit our fan fiction boards, and check out the "Fan Fiction FAQ." 16. Does it have to be completed to be posted or archived? No, posting chapters is totally permissible. 17. Do I need to have it beta read first? No, but it's expected that spelling and grammar are checked before posting. 18. Does it have to focus only on Sonny and Alexis? No, we have boards that allow for general GH stories as well as Sonny/other, Alexis/other stories. 19. I'm over 18. I heard there's an adult fanfic list? You can find it here. You must send an email to Professor at professorgh1@yahoo.com, and please note the following in the subject line of your email: "JB ADULT: 18 or 18+ & the email that you used to register at Yahoo" ... for example, "JB ADULT: 18+, professorgh1@yahoo.com." Please DO NOT send multiple requests. Once Professor receives your membership request and your e-mail, you will be added to the list of eligible members. Every two weeks, eligible members are granted access to the site. So, be patient! Once you've been granted access, you'll be able to read and post, and to modify this as you would any other Yahoo!Group account. All of the fanfic is stored on the adult site in the archived messages, so you won't miss anything. You WILL need a Yahoo account in order to access that portion. 20. Age statement? I'm not 18 yet. But I need my smut! We are very sorry, but you will not be permitted to access either the yahoogroup or the private forum. We take this rule very seriously. The adult fic is only to be accessed by approved, of age members of this community. If it is discovered that information has been falsified, or material is being passed to underage readers via other forum members appropriate action will be taken. We ask all members to comply with and respect this policy. 21. I want to make a slideshow. Can I use your screencaps? Yes, but only if you provide a link back to JB.tv, as well as let us know - webmaster@justbreathe.tv - where your slideshow is, so we can link to it. 22. Where can I find RealSlideshows? Unfortunately, Real.com has discontinued this product as a freebie download. If we come across a new product that provides the same user-friendliness, we will be sure to make an announcement about it. 23. HELP! I missed… Puerto Rico…New Year's…Sexis Making Love…! Where can I get edit tapes?? First, we suggest making a post on our The Exchange board. A "PM" or private message to perchance or Carissa is probably a good first step. There are also a number of members who have tapes they would be willing to trade, so check the for posts from them as well. Another source for Sexis edit tapes on the net is from Curlyqgrl, who has a very, very, very, comprehensive website : http://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html At this time she has 5, 8 hour edit tapes of Sexis. Please check out her website for more information. You can also drop by the JB Video Gallery, which has clips of many of the important Sexis scenes. 24. What program do you use to make your wallpapers/postcards/etc? Photoshop - www.adobe.com - or Paint Shop Pro - www.jasc.com 25. I'm making a website. Can I use your screencaps? This is decided on a case by case basis; if you are only looking to borrow a small number of caps, the likelihood is yes, it shouldn't be a problem. Please email us at webmaster@justbreathe.tv to make a request. 26. How do I sign up for the forums? Go to the forums and click on "Register". Once there, fill out the form and hit "Submit". MAKE SURE THAT YOUR EMAIL IS CORRECT or you won't be able to log in, as your randomized password is sent to your email addy in order to prevent bogus accounts from being created. 27. I've been coming to this site for awhile, and I think that I would be a good moderator on the forums. Who do I approach? You don't. We will approach you. We are always keeping our eyes out for concientious, optimistic and bright posters to help keep JB upbeat and looking forward. If you fit into that category and we're looking for a new mod, we will ask if you're interested.
